Helio Is a Participant in a New Horizon Europe Project

In Georgia, with funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, a three year FORGE AI project has been launched and Helio is one of the participating companies. The program focuses on developing the professional skills of young AI researchers and research managers. In addition, the project aims to strengthen knowledge sharing and cooperation between academia, industry and public institutions, as well as to modernize national funding mechanisms that support AI innovation.

The project is implemented by a broad consortium coordinated by the Muskhelishvili Institute of Computational Mathematics the Georgian Technical University. The consortium includes Georgian partners such as Helio AI, the Georgian Association for Artificial Intelligence (GAIA), the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, GITA, Tbilisi State University, the Data Analysis Laboratory, AI Lab Tbilisi, and ICARTI. International partners include the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Saarland University (Germany), Creative Cluster (France), and the YerevaNN Foundation (Armenia).

The first activity of the project an intensive two day training for young AI researchers was held in November 2025 at the Muskhelishvili Institute of Computational Mathematics. Participants received training on innovation management, research commercialization, the AI startup environment, and the development of responsible AI. The educational content was prepared with the involvement of European experts.

As a project participant, Helio aims to support the development of a new generation of AI talent and help integrate them into the broader European and global AI community.
