Helio Is a Participant in a New Horizon European Project

In Georgia, with funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, athree-year FORGE-AI project has been launched, and Helio is one of theparticipating companies. The program focuses on developing the professionalskills of young AI researchers and research managers. In addition, the projectaims to strengthen knowledge sharing and cooperation between academia,industry, and public institutions, as well as to modernize national fundingmechanisms that support AI innovation.
The project is implemented by a broadconsortium coordinated by the Muskhelishvili Institute of Applied Mathematicsat the Georgian Technical University. The consortium includes Georgian partnerssuch as Helio AI, the Georgian Association for Artificial Intelligence (GAIA),the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, GITA, Tbilisi StateUniversity, the Data Analysis Laboratory, AI Lab Tbilisi, and ICARTI.International partners include the German Research Center for ArtificialIntelligence (DFKI), Saarland University (Germany), Creative Cluster (France),and the YerevaNN Foundation (Armenia).
The first activity of the project—an intensivetwo-day training for young AI researchers—was held in November 2025 at theMuskhelishvili Institute. Participants received training on innovationmanagement, research commercialization, the AI startup environment, and thedevelopment of responsible AI. The educational content was prepared with theinvolvement of European experts.
As a project participant, Helio aims tosupport the development of a new generation of AI talent and help integratethem into the broader European and global AI community.
